The table
Homemade pastries, and La Casita downstairs
Food is one of the real reasons guests come back to Hostería Suiza. The morning buffet is made in the house rather than opened out of packets, and having La Casita on the ground floor means you do not have to go looking for dinner in the cold after a long day on the mountain.
Both the breakfast room and the restaurant are small and traditional, with wooden tables and unhurried service. A vegetarian option is available at each meal, and room service can bring food upstairs when staying in is the better plan.

Served every morning
The morning buffet
Breakfast is served as a buffet, with homemade jams, freshly baked pastries, bread and hot drinks including coffee, tea and hot chocolate. It is the kind of first meal that holds up until a late lunch on the mountain, and it shapes the way most guests plan the day here: eat well, walk out the door, come back warm in the afternoon.
How breakfast usually goes
The buffet is laid out in the morning and restocked as people come down, so early risers heading for the first lift and late risers on a slow holiday morning get the same table. Jams are made in the house and change with what is in season, the pastries come out of the oven rather than a delivery box, and hot drinks keep coming for as long as breakfast service runs.
If you follow a vegetarian diet, let reception know the evening before and a suitable option will be prepared. The same applies to guests leaving very early for an excursion, since something can usually be arranged so nobody starts a mountain day on an empty stomach.
Lunch and dinner
La Casita Restaurant
La Casita serves Argentinian and European cooking in a traditional, family-friendly room: wooden tables, unhurried service and portions meant for people who have been outside all day. Lunch and dinner are both served, a vegetarian option is always available, and if you would rather eat upstairs in your room, room service can bring the same food to your door.
Because the restaurant is inside the inn, an evening here can be as simple as coming in from the cold, dropping your gear in the ski storage and sitting down. In winter that convenience is the difference between a proper dinner and a cold walk to find one, and in summer it means you can eat early before heading back out to the lakefront while the light lasts.
